Data security and integrity

O&O Defrag guarantees you complete data integrity and security. The only functions that are used for the defragmentation are already integrated into Windows XP/2003, Windows 2000 and Windows NT 4. No other functions or Workarounds are used.

File attributes (Date, Time, System, Archive etc.) and the security settings for NTFS volumes will not be changed, and nor are access rights. Also, only one file per volume will be processed at any one time. This ensures that even in the worst case scenario, only one file can be lost (e.g. if there is a power cut).
